OK, I am not up to date on Indonesia and it's politics or its history however what I do know is there are lots of news about the government putting pressure on some of it's people. Since the Dutch introduced a system of hiarchy with a system of forced cultivations and indentured labour and a privileged upper social class including a rigid social and racial caste system there has been lots of efforts to control the spice industry and now the copper industry. This is all without sharing any benefits of the wealth with many of it's peoples especially those at the bottom rung of the caste system. (Yes there were problems before then too)

So, not being an expert but an avid reader I ask, Are we not concerned about the news coming out of Indonesia, especially #West Paupau, enought to do some investigations to see if people are being slaughtered as in other parts of the world where we are concerned?

Look here for info:

I know we have plenty of problems here as it is but is it not to all our advantage to recognize mistreatment where ever it may be and speak out about it.

All right, I may not know and I definite am not trying to stick my nose in areas where it has no business, but, I do think I have a right to look and if I see what appears to be a problem, to speak up and ask you, all of you, are we turning our heads away about something that we ought to know more about and if there is mistreatment going on, say something about it, just as we do about what is going on in Syria or Mali.

By speaking out and letting the world know we are concerned and have some feelings about a mistreatment, those doing the mistreatment will think before ating because they may think we may do something about it.

That being said, do some research, look here on the internet and don't just look and find a problem, do something when you find there is a problem, tell all who will listen that you do not approve. Someone, one of those who have the means to do something just may be listening and do something.

  1. These are all great thoughts. Where do we start to make a difference? There are so many places around the globe with the same scenerio as so is the U.S. I was watching a docu. on Hitler recently, I saw again, the strength of manipulative power. It controls those who are less fortunate and weak minded. I guess my question is how do we increase the knowledge? Just like the young girl who was shot because she wanted knowledge for women. Until we give unbiased knowledge we keep those who are the least bound in chains of submission.
